These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dharma website (dharma.evrayn.com) and the Dharma mobile application ("the Service"), operated by Dharma Technologies ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 13 years old (or have guardian consent)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Accept our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy

2. Description of service

Dharma provides a digital platform for Hindu daily practice, including but not limited to:

• Daily practice guidance and Panchang information
• Puja step-by-step instructions
• Scripture readings with translations
• Festival calendars and temple information
• Personal journaling and family profiles

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis during the beta period. Features may change, be added, or removed at any time.

3. User accounts and data

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You agree to provide accurate information when registering
• You may request deletion of your account and data at any time

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data (except AI crawlers allowed in our robots.txt)
• Upload malicious content or interfere with the Service's operation
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the Service to promote hatred, violence, or discrimination

5. Intellectual property

5.1 Our content

All content on Dharma - including text, illustrations, design, code, and branding - is owned by Dharma Technologies or used under licence. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute this content without written permission.

5.2 User content

Content you create within Dharma (journal entries, bookmarks, etc.) remains yours. We do not claim ownership over your personal content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for providing the Service.

5.3 Scriptural content

Scriptural texts and translations presented in Dharma are sourced from public domain texts and licensed scholarly works. Individual scholarly commentaries are attributed to their respective authors.

6. Religious content disclaimer

Dharma presents Hindu traditions and practices for informational and personal practice purposes only. We:

• Do not claim religious authority
• Do not promote one tradition or interpretation over another
• Respect the diversity of Hindu practice across regions and communities
• Encourage users to consult local scholars or family traditions for specific guidance

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on content provided through the Service

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, but provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive.

9. Modifications to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

11. Dispute resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation and, if necessary, mediation. This does not limit your right to seek injunctive relief for intellectual property violations.
